September 30, 2025 - Middletown, PA - This is a classic youth sports story. A youth team's players were racially taunted by their opponents. Parents then attempted to confront the opposing coach and were removed by security. The team then got a two game suspension from the league. Well, a lot of leagues would take action if parents confront a coach. After all, parents belong in the stands. On the other hand, a good investigation would at least look into claims of racial taunting at a game. And, a good newspaper would try to capture the essence of the event. Here, though, Fox 43 in Harrisburg, Pa reports that the team was suspended for reporting the alleged racial incident. That kind of misses the point. It also is a bit refreshing though as it's rare to see a Fox outlet siding with the racial minority. Yes! A Fox TV station actually stood with black folks .... at the expense of wrestling with the entire story of course.
